The FSV Vibrating Crusher is a high-performance system designed for the mechanical reclamation of spent foundry sand.

Thanks to its advanced technology, it effectively crushes and regenerates agglomerated sand, reducing it to the ideal grain size for thermal recovery and reuse in production processes.

Available in three main models – FSV 80, FSV 100, and FSV 160 – this system is engineered to optimize production processes, ensuring operational efficiency, environmental sustainability, and cost reduction.

Based on the "Sand Over Sand" principle, the FSV Vibrating Crusher enables moves the parts that are to be crushed on each other, creating an efficient self-fragmentation process.

This process allows:

  • Minimized wear on mechanical components, extending the system's service life.

  • Optimal fragmentation, achieving the required grain size for reuse in the foundry process.

Optimized Process for Mechanical Sand Reclamation

The FSV Vibrating Crusher operates through a two-stage process, specifically designed to maximize sand breakdown and impurity separation. This dual-stage system, ensures perfectly regenerated sand, reducing the need for new raw material and improving overall system efficiency.

First Stage – Primary Crushing and Separation

  • Agglomerated sand is introduced into the primary crushing hopper, equipped with interchangeable wear-resistant armor to minimize wear. The “Sand Over Sand” process ensures effective sand breakdown.

  • A Creusabro wear-resistant crushing grid with special shaped holes patented by GVF Impianti for the primary selection of the sand, allowing already disaggregated material to move to the next phase while separating larger metallic impurities.

Second Stage – Final Selection

  • The material, crushed in this way, moves to a secondary crushing chamber, where a harmonic steel grid completes the final sand selection processSmall metallic impurities, such as working burrs, are stopped and wasted, ensuring a regenerates sand output.

  • The separated metallic material is expelled through a lateral discharge outlet, ensuring a continuous production flow without interruptions.
