GVF Impianti is a company specialized in the production of machines and systems for the mixing and dosing of products and materials.

The mixing is a basic process in the productive technology of lots of products. It concerns mixing two or more products, with different chemical and physical features in order to obtain a final product, that has to be very homogeneous, through a process that is repeatable over time.


The mixing system used by GVF Impianti is a dynamic process, where the movement given to the particles is derived from a mechanical action.

So the machines used in the mixing process are called mixers.

GVF Impianti produces a variety of mixers, specifically:

  • Laboratory mixers
  • Continuous and discontinuous ribbon mixers
  • Single and double shaft paddle mixers
  • Single-shaft ploughshare mixers
  • Colouring units for ceramic mixture

In addition to mixers, the company also provides dosing system, which include micro-dosing units, weight-in-loss dosing units, volumetric dosing units and weighing belt conveyors.

PADDLE MIXER

GVF Impianti paddle mixers are mainly composed by two constructive types: type PMG with single-shaft and type PMF with double-shaft
The mixer is composed by a chamber in which are mounted one or two rotating shafts. Each shaft is equipped with particular paddles with opposite and secant pitches, which improve the penetration and the mixing quality. 

Thanks to the possible change of the inclination angle of the paddles, they can be adjusted in order to make the mixer suitable for any type of material and for different needs in the mixing processes. Furthermore, the secant position of the mixing tools results in the auto-cleaning of the rotors.
The available sizing are dependent upon the speed, charging rate and the residence time.

CONTINUOUS MIXER

Single shaft continuous mixers with half-ploughshares are composed by a mixing chamber with one or more inlets, an outlet with discharging valve, reconstructing mixing chamber internal profile and a relief outlet.

Ploughshare mixing tools are positioned above the mixing shaft in a special arrangement and the resultant turbulence achieve excellent results in terms of mixing speed and uniformity of mixtures.

From the top, a continuous flow of ingredients enter directly into the mixing chamber, and a continuous flow of mixed product flows out of the relief outlet.

In some cases, additional stirrers can be installed to obtain the desired mixing effect. Separately driven high-speed stirrers can be installed to disperse agglomerations and to control the granulation during the mixing process.

BATCH MIXER

Single shaft ploughshare mixers with half-ploughshares, as for continuous ploughshares mixers, are composed by a mixing chamber with one or more inlets, an outlet with discharging valve, reconstructing mixing chamber internal profile and a relief outlet.

The turbulence generated from the plughshares rotate achieve an excellent result in terms of mixing speed and uniformity of mixtures.

With the Batch Mixers the ingredients are loaded inside the mixer, and once the materials are mixed and homogeneity has reached, they come out as a single batch from the relief outlet, before another batch is introduced.

Laboratory Mixer with electric control and LC display

LABORATORY MIXER

Lab mixer is the ideal companion for transferring data and formulations from small scale lab test to production.
It incorporates all modern laboratory test machine characteristics and functions, such as, control panel, liquid-proof axial seals, beyond the standard stainless steel construction with active security inspection and cleaning hatches.

Electric control panel IP 55 degree of protection, installed on the machine. Operator’s interface presents an alphanumeric backlit LC display with 40 characters for each of the two rows.
Membrane covered buttons are 35 of which 15 functional plus 5 led indications. Two RS232 serial ports are available. 
Right also to small productions.

Dosing Systems and Micro Dosing Systems

DOSING - MICRO DOSING SYSTEMS

MD Micro batch feeder, entirely made of stainless steel, consists in an upper hopper equipped with an innovative break-lump and bridge-breaker plough shaft with independent gear motor. 

Dosing is made by a volumetric interchangeable dosing screw also equipped with independent gear motor which (according to the dosing needs) can be equipped with an electronic frequency driven gear motor or a potentiometric regulated DC gear motor or a brushless gear motor assuring a practically endless output variation. 

A detachable front cover for throughout inspection and cleaning makes the micro-batch feeder suitable for polluting materials management. 
The machine can be supplied with load cell for loss-in-weight applications, complete with PLC electronics.

All product contact parts are manufactured in stainless steel or material suitable for the product which is to be conveyed
